An endless runner heavily inspired by the hoverboard levels from Klonoa 2 and retro PlayStation graphics.

If you go for a high score, I'd love to hear what you got in a comment!
My best is 450503.

Controls

  • WASD to Move
  • Space to Jump
  • K / Left-Click  to Hit
  • P / Right-Click to Recall Star
(Pointer shows which star will be recalled next.)
  • R to Restart

Scoring

  • Colorful stars grant more points.
  • Stars gain color each time they're hit, granting more and more points.
  • Each spiraling star boosts overall point gain.
  • As your score increases, you gradually move faster and faster, changing how obstacles need to be traversed.

Note: For some reason, the browser version only saves your score after you press R to play again.

[Updated 12/12/2022] Scoring adjusted - building scoring by hitting the same star repeatedly is less effective, but building score by managing multiple stars is more effective. Small visual clarity improvements. Minor level adjustments.

[Updated 12/13/2022] Speed at high scores reduced.

great game, it's fun to perfect the "star juggling"

Thank you! Cool to see some similarity to your game Ultratoro - we need more runner games on weird geometries!

yeaaah! it's an insane genre just waiting to be explored. So much untapped potential

nice! a small exploit-y thing you can do with one star is spam recall immediately after a hit to get multiple hits, and it seems best to focus on building up one star anyway. thanks for playing Joey!

It reminds me of a Vectrex game! Very arcady and neat
