A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

Controls:

An endless musical shmupish game loosely inspired by the John Coltrane track of the same name. For 1 or 2 players locally. 

Blue bird: 

  • ESDF = Move
  • A + Hold = Triple shot
  • A + Release on the beat = Power shot

Red bird: 

  • IJKL = Move
  • Semicolon + Hold =  Triple shot
  • Semicolon + Release on the off beat = Power shot

Install instructions

If playing on Mac, you may need to run one or both of the following commands in Terminal after unzipping the download and navigating to the folder containing the app.

sudo chmod -R 777 Iris.app
sudo spctl --master-disable

The first command sets the correct file permissions on the app, and the second disables Gatekeeper.

You can reenable Gatekeeper with: 

sudo spctl --master-enable
